Modify project settings

You can modify an existing project.

Perform the following procedure to modify project information.

  1. In the Home page, click and then select .
  2. In the tab, modify any of the following information.

    • In , update the name of the project.
    • displays the name of the person who created the project.
    • In , update the description.
    • displays where settings were imported from during creation.
    • In , select the type of additional authentication to require for all users of this project. Choose from the default setting, which is , , , or .
    • In , add the IP addresses to allow. Press Enter after every IP address. Or, click to select a file that contains the IP addresses to include.
    • Select , when you want to prefix all Document Numbers when the system retrieves, displays, or uses the number. This prefix can help you maintain unique numbering when compared across multiple projects or environments for extremely large data matters. When you select this option, supply the prefix you want to use in .

    • The checkbox is selected by default. To disable the Analytics features in Epiq Discovery, uncheck the option. These features appear under ANALYZE>ANALYSIS, including Data Assessment Dashboard, Theme Wheel, Concept List, and Word Index. Disabling Analytics also disables .
    • The checkbox is selected by default. To turn off automatically providing OCR in Processing, uncheck the option. The file types that can be automatically OCR'd include: JPG, TIF, TIFF, PDF, and Bitmap files.
    • The checkbox is selected by default. This option enables you to view AVI, MOV, and 264 native video files in the Viewer. Uncheck the transcoding option to turn it off. When off, these files must be downloaded to view.
    • The DeNIST checkbox is selected by default. To disable the DeNIST feature in Processing, uncheck the checkbox. Refer to About DeNIST for more information.

    • The checkbox is unchecked by default. Select the Email Categorization checkbox to turn this function on. When you turn on this option, the system automatically categorizes emails, which helps you to identify the potential junk emails. Refer to About email categorization for more information.
    • The checkbox is selected by default. When you select this and the checkbox, you can access the Data Assessment Dashboard. Refer to Data Assessment Dashboard for more information.
    • In , change the language to use for OCR during processing.
    • In , add the file extensions that need to be processed as excluded file extensions. For more information about excluded file extensions, refer to About excluded file extensions. Press Enter after every extension. Or, click to select a file that contains the extensions to exclude.
    • In , choose how embedded images are extracted.
      • Select to enable the extraction of embedded images over 15 KB for email files. For non-email files, no embedded images are extracted.
      • Select to set the threshold of embedded images to extract. Set to or . If , supply the maximum size (in KB) of embedded images to extract for emails. Set to or . If , supply the maximum size (in KB) of embedded images to extract for other files.
    • In Zip Encoding, choose an applicable zip encoding method to extract documents from ZIP files. The default option is Default Encoding <UTF8)>.
    • In Text Extraction Size, set the maximum text size for long text fields. For information about the default text size of a long text field and the maximum text size you can specify for a long text field, refer to Known limitations.

    Document List Settings

    • In Document Sort By, choose a default sorting option for the Document List in Inspect and Review.

    • In Maximum Document Size to Load in Viewer, set the maximum document size that you can view in the Document List native viewer in Inspect or Review. The default maximum document size is 50 MB. You can specify a value between 10 and 250 MB.

    • In , choose whether to disable near duplication and email threading during Promotion. Uncheck the checkbox to disable near duplication and threading during Promotion or select the checkbox to enable it. This option is not available if you disable .
    • In Enable PII/PHI Detection, choose whether to enable PII/PHI detection during Promotion. Select the checkbox to enable PII/PHI detection during Promotion or uncheck the checkbox to disable it. Refer to PII/PHI detection for more information.
    • In PII/PHI Confidence Level Cap, set the PII/PHI confidence level cap. This field appears only when you select the Enable PII/PHI Detection checkbox. Refer to PII/PHI detection for more information.
    • In Enable Entity Identification, choose whether to disable entity identification during Promotion. Uncheck the checkbox to disable entity identification during Promotion or select the checkbox to enable it. Refer to Entity identification for more information.
  3. Click .
  4. To update custodians for the project, click the tab.
  5. To update sources for the project, click the tab.
    • To create a source, click . In the dialog box, provide a name for the source, and then click .
  6. To update fields for the project, click the tab.
  7. To update review settings, click tab. For more information about review settings, refer to Modify review settings and highlights
    1. In , you can define what to show as the Quick Tags.
    2. In , you can update the following.
      • .
      • In projects created before Epiq Discovery, release 3.8, you can update .
    3. In , you can add custom text highlights.
    4. In Redaction Labels, you can add or delete the redaction labels that you use when manually applying a redaction on a document in Inspect or Review.
  8. To update users for the project, click the tab. You can invite users, resend innovations, or remove users.
    • To invite a user, click . In the dialog box, select a role and enter the email addresses for the users in that role. Then, click .
    • To resend an invitation, click and confirm the action.
    • To remove a user, on the user's row, click .
  9. To change the project disposition, click the tab, where you can archive or delete the project.
